The purpose of this research was to construct theoretical framework for testing one of the propositions of King's Theory of Goal Attainment of which focuse was on the relationship between goal attainment and satisfaction in nurse-patient interactions. Philological method was used to construct the theoretical framework. The analysis of the literature of theory, King's Theory of Goal Attainment, and so on identified the followings. 1. The Theory of Goal Attainment is one of the theory in structural hieralchy of nursing knowledge and a middle range theory. 2. The Goal Attainment Theory contribute to varied area of nursing research and practice, and accumulation of empirical testing of the theory is needed for progressing the use of it more. 3. empirical testing of the proposition of the Goal Attainment Theory contributes for the use of it in various area of nursing. 4. precise theoretical framework will be constructed by applying theoretical substruction. The theoretical framework was constructed out of these findings.
