[SUMMARY] As for the high-school physics and undergraduate introductory physics, the formula for the physics models are treated with great importance. However, a generic trend in education shows that the novel-type learning skills should be included. Especially in physics learning, the skills for verifying of the validity of physics models, and in particular in communication, those for finding representations to show the relations among quantities should be taken into account. A special concern is that students who may try to construct their explanations with erroneous understanding. In this study, two of daily-life phenomena in mechanics and electromagnetism, even for issues appearing in elementary school science, are selected and multiple-choice questions are created. The students’ responces are in high error rate if separated from experience for long years, even if they learn physics in higher educations. Answers and comments from university students in the course of pre-service elementary-school teachers are accumulated.
