[要約] 現在中国において，一人ひとりの全面的な発達を重視する資質教育を中核とする教育改革が推進されている。本稿の目的は，この教育改革の柱である資質教育の一つである生命教育を取り上げ，生命教育の動向を把握すること，実際の生命教育の教育実践を参観し，分析考察することである。現在，生命教育は発展期にあり，生命教育の理論的概念を基に生命教育をどう実践するのかという実証的な研究が進められている段階である。首都師範大学の研究プロジェクトにおいては，絵本を用いた教授法による生命教育実践が実施されている。絵本を用いた教育実践では，生命教育の抽象的な概念を児童に解釈させることは容易ではないが，その絵本の物語にある哲学や生命の意味を読み解いていくことにより，生命教育のねらいに迫ることができることが明らかとなった。
[SUMMARY] Education reform focused on quality education for wholistic development of individual students is being promoted in China. The purpose of this paper is to identify trends in the content and to analyze teaching practices in life education. At present, life education is in the process of being developed, and empirical studies based on theoretical conceptualizations of the life education are being conducted. At Capital Normal University, research is being carried out on teaching practices in life education using picture books. It is not easy for elementary school students to analyze the concepts presented in life education; however, by reading picture books and decoding the philosophies and meaning of life contained therein, students are able to move closer to the goals of life education.
