The flower bud formation, development and flowering behaviour in the bean "Low's Champion" were observed. The results were followed: 1. The initials of the flower bud did not differentiate in the apical bud, but in the axillary bud. 2. In very young stages the vegetable growth points differentiated most of leaf nodes, and in each axils flower bud formation were performed in a short time. 3. In some cases the initials that differentiated in the leaf axils, developed flower buds or axillary buds, in other cases divided in two portions, and one half differentiated flower bud and another axillary bud. 4. The first flower bud formation was observed at the first compound leaf stage, in the stage of extending the third compound leaf the pistile was formed. 5. The increases of the flower buds ended about the stage of extending the sixth compound leaf (after 12 days from the first flower bud formation) 6. The motion of flowering began early evening, the dehiscence of anthers and pollination began before tripping at about 1-2 o'clock that is not very useful for pollination. 7. The incomplete development in the several stages of flower formation resulted incomplete flowering and showed very low fruiting, and complete one showed higher fruiting.
