This paper is on the material of the Ainu of Hokkaido dialect about the middle of the 19th century. This material is one of the historical documents which were donated to Historical Museum of Hokkaido from the descendant of the HAYASHI family. The HAYASHI family had received the contract for the fishing grounds(BASYO) in Abuta at the beginning of the 19th century, next Akkeshi(1818-1825) on the Pacific, and Yoichi(l825-1869) on the coast of the Japan sea in Hokkaido. However, we could not specify the dialect of the Ainu of this material, because these donated documents include the other family's materials in other places, Suttsu and Setanai on the coast of the Japan sea in Hokkaido. Anyway, this material is significant, because we have little data of the Ainu of these places.
