Description
［あらまし］ 千葉大学では 2020 年度からの全員留学に備え，メディア授業によるオンライン受講を目的として，Moodle 上での動画配信システムを内製により開発を進めてきた．Moodle の動画配信機能に不足している部分について，必要要件を洗い出し，システム設計を行った．その結果として AES 暗号化を施したマルチビットレートの HTTP Live Streaming 方式を採用し，SCORM パッケージによる Moodle 連携方式を考案した．本システムの検証を行う過程において，新型コロナのパンデミックにより，急遽， 学生数約 14,000 人， 開講科目数 7,000 以上にも及ぶ大学における全ての授業がオンデマンド方式のメディア授業で実施されることになり，本システムは，その中心的な役割を担うこととなった. 過去に経験が無い状況下において，幸いにも大きなトラブルがなく安定した稼働を実現することができたことから，稼働状況をもとに本システムの運用結果を評価した．加えて， 学生への通信負担を低減するため，パケット節約モードを追加する等のきめ細かな対応をおこなうことができた．これらの成功要因について検証し， 今後の課題について考察を行った．
[Abstract] Chiba University has been preparing for the introduction of online classes for all students to study abroad starting in 2020, but the COVID–19 pandemic has changed its role significantly. The policy was changed to focus on on-demand video delivery and to emphasize environmental considerations for students, such as reducing data traffic. The design was changed to increase resources as much as possible, and the operation was adapted to accommodate this. We confirmed that no major problems occurred during the year of the COVID–19 pandemic, and that there were no problems with the load on the video distribution system itself, considering the usage of each server. One of the success factors in the development of these emergency systems is considered to be the development by in-house production.
