An Inheritor of Mongolian Embroidery Intangible Cultural Heritage : Oral History of Bai Jingying ·

[SUMMARY] Bai Jingying is a Mongolian woman from the Horqin Right Middle Banner of Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia. Since childhood, she has been influenced by her mother and grandmother and has mastered exquisite embroidery skills. Since 2016, she has devoted herself to the development of the Mongolian embroidery industry, serving as the head of the Mongolian embroidery industry promotion group of Horqin Right Middle Banner and the president of the Mongolian embroidery association. By establishing relevant companies and poverty alleviation service associations, she has combined embroidery with poverty alleviation, promoting the industrialization of Mongolian embroidery. Bai Jingying has also received many honors, including being a candidate for "China's Intangible Cultural Heritage Person of the Year", "National Model of Poverty Alleviation", and "China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Ambassador". Bai Jingying is well aware of the importance of traditional culture and has integrated the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture into her work. Through interviews, this article meticulously sorts out Bai Jingying's growth experience, family background, and the profound influence of her parents on her life. It elaborately introduces how she uses embroidery skills training to help local residents broaden their income channels and improve their quality of life, as well as her future plans and beautiful aspirations.
