研究者らは,先行研究に基づき乳がん術後患者のためのサポートグループプログラム「ほっとカフェ」を開発した。本プログラムは4セッションからなり,「情報提供」と「話し合い」を組み合わせた「閉鎖型の構造化プログラム」として構成した。本研究の目的は,乳がん術後患者のためのサポートグループプログラムにおいて,プログラム構成に着眼した参加者体験を明らかにしてプログラムの効果を検討すると共に,サポートグループ活動のあり方を考察することである。調査は,2セッション以上に参加し,研究承諾が得られた者に半構造的インタビューを行い,データを質的帰納的に分析した。研究は倫理審査委員会の承認を得て行った。対象者は19名で,平均年齢50.8歳,乳がん術後平均年数20.4ヶ月であった。分析の結果,各プログラム構成がもたらす参加者体験は,看護師の情報提供による6つの体験,乳がん術後患者同士の話し合いによる12の体験,閉鎖型の構造化プログラムによる10の体験が明らかにされた。さらに,プログラム全体がもたらす参加者の体験の本質として,『乳がん体験の理解者との出会いと孤立感からの解放』などの6つの内容が明らかにされた。本プログラムは,少人数で固定化されたグループで,回数を重ねて話し合う形式や集える場を設定すること等のプログラム構成により,今後を生きる患者の持てる力が強化されたと考えられた。
A support group program called“ Hotto Cafe" was set up as a support organization for postoperative breast cancerpatients and was developed by researchers. The program was structured with four session themes established based onprevious studies. At each session, a nurse provided information, and then the participants talked amongst themselvesin closed groups. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the participant experience, focusing mainly on the effects ofprogram construction. Researchers considered the future prospect of the support group for cancer patients in Japan.The subjects were Hotto Cafe participants who participated in two or more of the four sessions and consented tothe study. They were interviewed after the program using a semi-structured questionnaire. A qualitative analysis wascompleted. As for ethical consideration, the study was approved by the ethics review committee. There were 19 subjects,a mean age of 50.8 years, with a mean postoperative period of 20.4 months. Experiences of program participants beingprovided information by a nurse were six, experiences of participants talking with other breast cancer women were 12,and experiences by the structured and closed group program were 10. Essential participant's experiences by the programbrings were six of the contents of“ encounter with an understanding person and release from an isolation sense of abreast cancer experience," and more. Based on the above results, the program was thought to help participants gain theenergy to live their lives on their own by the closed groups, by the form which repeats and discusses, and the programconstructed for setting a gathering place.
