[SUMMARY] In this paper, we developed a system that supports vocabulary learning for elementary school Japanese classes by utilizing morphological analysis technology, and verified the usefulness of the system by conducting actual classes using the system. When arbitrary sentences are pasted into the system, the morphological analyzer and the synonym list are referred to, the words in the list are marked, and when one of the marked words is clicked, the synonyms of the word are displayed. In a 5th grade elementary school class, we conducted the verification class I in which students read a story and the verification class II in which they created a story using this system, and the results of pre- and post-questionnaires to the students showed that most of them agreed that using this system to focus on synonyms was useful. Many children seemed to use this system without any particular problem. On the other hand, some of the synonyms were not displayed smoothly, and synonyms were not displayed for idiomatic phrases and other collocations.
